Academics

Academics

At Hadi School, we aim to cultivate future leaders, scholars, and creative thinkers. We prepare our students for a competitive academic career while fostering ethics and social responsibility. We are dedicated to a competitive academic curriculum and offer daily classes in Quran and Arabic.

Hadi School not only provides a thriving academic environment in but also helps students develop a skillset that is valuable for today’s world. We prepare our students for their future by focusing on four of the following results-focused learning methods:

Leader in Me

The Leader in Me is an innovative school transformation process. It teaches 21st century leadership and life skills to students and creates a culture of student empowerment based on the idea that every child can be a leader. This initiative focuses on teaching children leadership, accountability, and responsibility in their day-to-day activities. For more information: www.theleaderinme.org

Iqra Department

Hadi school has a strong Iqra Department with a rich, robust and detailed curriculum alongside skilled teachers who impart knowledge by teaching and leading by example. A thematic approach is applied used and the students have a culminating project at the end of each term.  Aside from a traditional structured classroom teaching environment, our Iqra department organizes and leads; the assembly which incorporates one surah with its meanings and daily hadith with a discussion surrounding it, Daily Salah, Knowledge competitions, Eid celebrations, Hajj simulation and Hadith memorization competitions. This makes for a more interactive Islamic environment that deeply instills the practical knowledge of and a love for our religion among our students from the very beginning. Our mission is to raise keen and practicing Muslims who are proud of their religion and follow it based on a deep love and understanding of it.

Our Iqra Dept. is divided into three core subjects:

Quran: In Quran the focus is on memorization, recitation and tafseer. Our Quran teacher Sh. Jawaad Saadatmand is also the Head of our Iqra Dept.

Arabic:  Here our focus is starting from basic Arabic alphabet and building all the way to conversational Arabic. Special emphasis is giving to Quranic vocabulary. Our Arabic teacher is Mrs. Rawaa Alkweshat.

Islamic Studies: In Islamic studies we focus on teaching the concept of Taawheed, attributes of Allah, Prophets, Day of Judgement, Akhlaq, Islamic Leadership, Practical laws of Islam regarding prayers, fasting, Hajj, and Zakat. Our Islamic Studies teacher is Mrs Shaheen Khan.

STEAM Based Learning

STEAM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in five specific disciplines — science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics — in an interdisciplinary and applied approach. Rather than teach the five disciplines as separate and discrete subjects, STEAM integrates them into a cohesive learning paradigm based on real-world applications. Click here to learn more.

Project-Based Learning Method

Project Based Learning (PBL) is a teaching method in which students gain knowledge and skills by working for an extended period of time to investigate and respond to an authentic, engaging and complex question, problem, or challenge. The experience of thousands of teachers across all grade levels and subject areas, backed by research, confirms that PBL is an effective and enjoyable way to learn – and develop deeper learning competencies required for success in college, career, and civic life. Personalized Learning

With this student-centric approach of learning, students have the ability to move on when they have demonstrated mastery of a skill or concept at their own pace. Instruction is organized around course-level and grade-level competencies that include SMART goals to empower students. Students are assessed at deeper levels such as on content and application of knowledge. Learning outcomes in personalized learning emphasize competencies that include application and creation of knowledge, along with the development of life skills. Click here for more information.
